Wisconsin's Dairy Business Association (DBA), the state's leading dairy advocate, welcomed new energy and expertise to its board at the recent Dairy Strong conference. Three directors were elected, ensuring a diverse and experienced leadership team for the organization.
Veterans Re-elected:
- Greg Siegenthaler, Vice President: Long-standing DBA member and Grande Cheese vice president, Siegenthaler was re-elected for a third term and will continue as the organization's vice president.
- Spencer Frost, Secretary: Frost Farms in Waterford's Spencer Frost earned a second term on the board, retaining his role as secretary.
Newcomer Joins the Fold:
- Travis Speirs, Producer Director: Bringing fresh perspectives to the board, Travis Speirs from Shiloh Dairy in Brillion takes on the producer director seat.
The DBA also expressed gratitude to Paul Fetzer of Fetzer Farms in Elmwood for his nine years of dedicated service. Stepping down as the board's longest-serving Government Affairs Committee chair, Fetzer leaves behind a legacy of advocacy and commitment to the dairy industry.
Stronger Together:
The new board joins a seasoned team led by President Lee Kinnard, ensuring a comprehensive representation of the industry. Other board members include Steve Bodart (Treasurer), Jesse Dvorachek, Kevin Collins, Bob Nagel, Chris Schneider, and Amy Penterman.
This leadership transition comes at a pivotal time, as the Dairy Strong conference demonstrated. With over 400 attendees representing 280,000 cows and numerous industry professionals, the event showcased the strength and resilience of Wisconsin's dairy community.
