Harrell Sets Global Record in Soybean Production

By Jamie Martin

Alex Harrell from Smithville Georgia has broken his own world record for soybean yield, achieving an astonishing 218.2856 bushels per acre. This new record, achieved with the support of BRANDT nutritional technology, marks a significant leap from his previous record of 206.8 bushels per acre.

Harrell’s approach included a strategic application of BRANDT’s specialty products like BRANDT Smart Trio® and BRANDT Smart Quatro® Plus, essential components of his fertility program.

This program was carefully designed with BRANDT specialists and Harrell’s crop consultant to meet the precise nutritional needs of his soybean crops at various growth stages.

The success story is built on the foundation of BRANDT’s proprietary technology, particularly the BRANDT® Smart System®, which ensures efficient delivery of micronutrients and works seamlessly with other agronomic products to enhance crop resilience and productivity.

Brian Haschemeyer of BRANDT speaks about the drive to support farmers in achieving remarkable yields that significantly exceed average outputs, focusing on the real-world benefits to growers’ productivity and profitability.

Rick Brandt, commenting on the achievement, underscored the remarkable nature of Harrell’s record in the context of national averages, celebrating the innovative spirit that drives such achievements in the farming community.

This new benchmark in soybean production not only celebrates the success of one farmer but also pushes the boundaries of what's possible in agriculture through technological and strategic advancements.
