Students from Madison College’s Agricultural Equipment Technology program earned national recognition at the Professional Agricultural Students (PAS) National Conference, held March 9-12, 2026, in Branson, Missouri.

Four students delivered standout performances, securing top placements in both team and individual categories.

Eldon Baerwolf and Lucas Taylor claimed first place in the team competition, earning a national championship title.

Teammates Wyatt King and Spencer Peterson also performed strongly, finishing second overall. Together, the results underscored the strength of Madison College’s program on a national level.

In individual rankings, all four competitors placed among the top five nationwide. Baerwolf led the group with a first-place finish, followed by Taylor in third, King in fourth and Peterson in fifth.

The competition featured 13 teams from leading institutions, testing participants on technical expertise, problem-solving abilities and practical skills related to agricultural equipment.

“This achievement reflects the hard work and commitment of our students, as well as the quality of instruction and industry partnerships that define our program,” said Nick Lindloff, Agricultural Equipment Technology Instructor at Madison College. “We are incredibly proud to see our students succeed on a national stage.”

The PAS competition evaluates skills in equipment diagnostics, setup, precision agriculture and troubleshooting-key areas in today’s rapidly advancing agricultural equipment industry.

Madison College’s program focuses on hands-on, real-world training, preparing students for careers in equipment service, dealership operations and precision agriculture, while maintaining strong ties with industry partners.
