Melissa Ploeckelman Elected to International Agricultural Safety Board


Melissa Ploeckelman, an outreach specialist at the National Farm Medicine Center, Marshfield Clinic Research Institute, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the International Society for Agricultural Safety and Health (ISASH). The ISASH is a network of professionals involved in agricultural safety and health. Ploeckelman's three-year term reflects her contributions to ISASH and her work in promoting agricultural safety and health.

Ploeckelman, Championing Agricultural Safety:

Ploeckelman, who grew up on a dairy farm in Stetsonville, Wisconsin, has been with Farm Medicine since 2017. Her responsibilities include managing social media, assisting with websites, and participating in media relations. She has also been involved in projects related to rural and agricultural health and safety.

A Valued Addition to ISASH:

Within ISASH, Ploeckelman serves in various roles, including co-chairing the Public Relations Committee and participating in the Conference Planning Committee. She joins other leaders in the field of agricultural safety and health on the ISASH board.
