The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension is set to host a Manure Field Day on Wednesday, September 10, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Alfalawn Farm, N2601 County Highway D, Menomonie, WI.
The event is open to farmers, agricultural professionals, and conservation enthusiasts who are eager to learn more about effective manure management practices.
This hands-on program will highlight a live, side-by-side demonstration of low disturbance toolbars, offering participants the chance to see equipment from top manufacturers in action.
Featured companies include ZML, Puck Enterprises, Pottinger, R Braun Inc. (Dribble Bar), and Hydro-Ag, all showcasing innovative tools designed to improve soil health and nutrient efficiency.
The demonstrations will give attendees a practical look at how different systems operate in the field, helping them evaluate the tools best suited for their own operations.
Beyond equipment, the event emphasizes sustainable manure application techniques that balance productivity with environmental stewardship.
Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for added comfort during the afternoon. As no rain date is scheduled, participants should monitor the Extension Dunn County Facebook page or visit dunn.extension.wisc.edu for weather-related updates.
This program reflects UW-Madison Extension’s commitment to supporting Wisconsin agriculture through education and outreach.
