The Wisconsin Farm Bureau (WFBF) recognizes exceptional young talent in the agriculture industry through their Young Farmer and Agriculturist (YFA) awards program.

This year's finalists, announced recently, represent the future of Wisconsin agriculture with their dedication, leadership, and innovation.

“This year’s finalists are innovative leaders in Wisconsin’s farming community,” said WFBF President Brad Olson. "We are excited to recognize young farmers who are advancing the future of agriculture."

The Farming for the Future Award acknowledges YFA members who excel in farm operations, leadership, and community involvement. Finalists in this category include:

  • Jacob and Eliza Bobolz, Rock County
  • Jacob and Jennifer Hoewisch, Waupaca County
  • Josh and Kristen Joseph, Richland County
  • Tiffany Kohlmann, Manitowoc County

The Outstanding Agriculture Professional Award celebrates YFA members with off-farm careers who significantly impact the agricultural sector. This year's finalists are:

  • Kat Peper (Sauk County), Technical Sales Support Manager at CRV USA
  • Travis Senn (Polk County), Assistant Director of Milk Marketing and Analytics for Southeast Milk, Inc.
  • Bethany Senn (Polk County), Calf and Heifer Technical Specialist for Vita Plus Corporation
  • Brooke Trustem (Rock County), Sales & Marketing Coordinator at BouMatic
  • Tammy Wiedenbeck (Grant County), Founder and Owner of Traveled Acres Media Services

Finalists will undergo a judging process at the upcoming WFBF YFA Conference in December. Winners will receive a cash prize, the opportunity to attend a prestigious national conference, and additional recognition. This program underscores the WFBF's commitment to fostering the next generation of agricultural leaders in Wisconsin.
