Wisconsin Farm Bureau's Ag Day at the Capitol returns on March 26th at the Monona Terrace in Madison. This annual event is the largest gathering of farmers in the state, providing an opportunity to learn about critical agricultural issues and connect with legislators.
“Wisconsin Farm Bureau is honored to provide this opportunity for farmers to share their stories with legislators alongside fellow agricultural organizations,” said WFBF President Brad Olson. “Meeting directly with legislators is one of the most impactful ways to advocate for agriculture and drive meaningful change.”
This year's keynote speaker is Brian Reisinger, author of "Land Rich, Cash Poor: My Family's Hope and the Untold History of the Disappearing American Farmer."
Reisinger, an award-winning writer and rural policy expert raised on a Wisconsin family farm, will share his insights. Attendees registering for the event will be entered to win a free copy of his book.
Beyond policy briefings and legislator meetings, Ag Day offers new attractions for the public. The Agriculture Showcase on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will feature farm equipment displays, dairy calves, free cheese samples, and more.
Inside the Capitol Rotunda, attendees can explore Wisconsin Farm Bureau booths, network with agricultural partners, and test their skills on a hydraulic sprayer simulator.
Plan to arrive by 11 am for registration, with the program kicking off at 11:30 am. Lunch will be followed by the keynote address, issue briefings, and legislator visit opportunities.
To ensure a meeting with their representatives, attendees should schedule appointments with their legislators' offices in advance for the 3-5 pm window on March 26th.
The new Agriculture Showcase opens to the public at noon and runs until 3 pm. Take advantage of early bird registration at $35, available now.
Registration fees increase to $60 after March 21st and at the door. Secure your spot at Ag Day at the Capitol by registering at https://bit.ly/2025AgDayAtTheCapitolRegistration.
