Cattle producers - connect at the red angus meeting

Cattle producers - connect at the red angus meeting

By Blake Jackson

You're invited to the Wisconsin Red Angus Association's Annual Meeting, scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Jerry and Maryann Huth Farm near Oakfield, Wisconsin.

This event is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow cattle producers and industry experts, while also gaining valuable insights into modern cattle management practices.

The Huth family, recognized for their commitment to environmental stewardship by the National Cattleman’s Beef Association and the Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association, will host the event. Their farm is a model of sustainable practices in the cattle industry.

The meeting will feature notable guest speakers, including Mary Anderson, a Grazing Specialist from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and David Trowbridge from Gregory Feedlot.

Trowbridge will provide an informative session on the benefits of selling cattle based on genetics rather than hide color, a topic of growing importance in the industry.

The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m., with the official meeting beginning at 11:15 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by farm tours and educational programming starting at 12:30 p.m.

The day will conclude by 4:00 p.m. While the event is free to attend, donations are appreciated. Please remember to register by August 30, 2024.
