Bechel Re-Elected President of Wisconsin Cheese Makers

The leader of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association will remain in place for another term. Steve Bechel of Eau Galle Cheese Factory in Durand was re-elected as president of the group's board of directors.

Bechel is a longtime Master Cheesemaker and served on former Gov. Scott Walker's Dairy Task Force 2.0.

"It's a special honor to serve as the president of WCMA again during a time of so much growth," Bechel said. "With more creative new programming and resources in the works than ever before, it's an exciting time to be part of this valuable organization."

Other board officers include Doug Wilke, Milbank, South Dakota; First Vice President; Mike Sipple, Appleton, Second Vice President; Ken Heiman, Marshfield, Treasurer; and Chris Renard, Sturgeon Bay, Secretary.

Meanwhile, delegates elected two new members to the board. They include Greg Alberts of Kelley Supply, Inc. and Declan Roche from Foremost Farms USA.
