The Central Wisconsin Farm Profitability Expo aims to support farmers in building resilience, improving profitability, and enhancing sustainability.
By focusing on diversification, reducing input costs, and increasing returns on investment, the event will provide valuable insights into modern farming strategies.
Farmers attending the expo will learn about conservation techniques that promote both economic and environmental benefits. Key topics will include regenerative management, no-till farming, and the use of cover and companion crops to improve soil health and productivity.
A panel discussion will highlight challenges faced by Central Wisconsin farmers when implementing best management practices. Farmers who have successfully integrated these techniques will share their experiences and solutions.
The expo will also explore opportunities for collaboration between agriculture and conservation groups. Attendees will gain insights into forming partnerships that can lead to more sustainable and profitable farming operations.
Thanks to funding from Wood County Land and Water Conservation, the event is free for all participants. Additionally, Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) credits will be available for those attending.
The expo will take place on Wednesday, April 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wisconsin Rapids Campus, Auditorium (L118). Registration is required by Thursday, April 24, to secure a spot.
