The Dairy Signal®, a weekly series of educational episodes for dairy farmers and food-system professionals, will focus on important topics next week, including research on manure use and cover crops, promoting cheese for the holidays, and water quality.
On Tuesday, October 24, Dr. Matt Ruark of the University of Wisconsin-Madison will discuss the latest research on soil health, manure use, and cover crops in dairy systems.
On Wednesday, October 25, Chad Vincent and Mike Edge of Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin will provide an update on how Wisconsin cheese is being promoted around the country and the world during the holiday season.
On Thursday, October 26, Amber Radatz of the UW-Madison Division of Extension and Todd Schaumburg of Tilth Agronomy will lead a "Fact or Fiction" episode on misconceptions about water quality and cover crop management.
Dairy producers, industry professionals, and students can now earn continuing education units (CEUs) for watching The Dairy Signal® webinars. Dairy AdvanCE®, an online continuing education management tool for dairy farmers and other professionals, has accredited The Dairy Signal®. Dairy professionals can now qualify to earn up to 0.5 DACE CEUs for each episode by watching a live or recorded episode and completing a brief online quiz.
