DATCP survey 2024 - impact Wisconsin dairy future

By Blake Jackson

Attention Wisconsin dairy producers! The deadline to submit your responses to the 2024 Wisconsin Dairy Producer Survey is June 30th.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) mailed the survey in late May to all licensed producers in the state.

It includes around 30 questions designed to gather valuable insights on various aspects of the industry, including herd size and demographics, management practices, business structure, workforce considerations, and future plans.

This information is crucial for understanding the current landscape of Wisconsin's dairy industry, which has undergone significant changes since the last survey in 2020.

By analyzing the collected data, DATCP can better assess the industry's challenges and opportunities, allowing them to develop targeted resources and support programs that directly benefit dairy producers in the state.

Completing the survey is easy. You can return the printed version using the pre-addressed envelope provided. New for 2024, a convenient online option is available! Simply locate the QR code on the top right corner of the first page and scan it with your smartphone or tablet to access the online survey.

Remember, all survey responses are confidential. DATCP will only share anonymized, summarized data in a final report to be published later this year on their website.

Don't miss this opportunity to have your voice heard and contribute to the future success of Wisconsin's dairy industry. Complete the 2024 Wisconsin Dairy Producer Survey by June 30th!

Dairy producers should contact DATCP’s Farm Center at (800) 942-2474 or by email at farmcenter@wisconsin.gov.
