Disabled Hunters Need to Sign-up for Sponsored Hunt by Sep. 1 2022

Eligible hunters with an interest in participating in the 2022 gun deer hunt for hunters with disabilities are encouraged to contact a land sponsor and sign up for a hunt before the September 1 hunter participation deadline.

Sponsors have enrolled nearly 70,000 acres of land across the state for this year's hunt, which is slated to take place October 1-9.

To participate in the hunt, hunters should contact sponsors directly. Some properties can accommodate more hunters than others, so hunters are advised to contact potential sponsors as early as possible to determine if space is available.

Eligible hunters may sign up for one property per year and must possess a gun deer license.

To be eligible, hunters must possess a valid Class A, Class B long-term permit that allows shooting from a vehicle, or Class C or D disabled hunting permit. Eligible hunters must possess a gun deer license.
