By Blake Jackson

This week’s episodes of The Dairy Signal, presented by Professional Dairy Producers (PDP), will highlight valuable insights from two renowned experts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Each session will focus on key aspects of dairy herd health and feed management.

On Tuesday, October 7, viewers can join an interactive session exploring the causes and contributing factors behind early pregnancy loss in dairy cattle.

The episode will also provide practical strategies to improve reproductive success within dairy herds. The featured presenter will be Dr. Paul Fricke, PhD, Dairy Reproduction Specialist at UW-Madison.

The Thursday, October 9 episode will shift focus to corn silage production and management, emphasizing both preventable and unavoidable losses that can occur during production, harvest, storage, and feeding. Leading this discussion will be Dr. Luiz Ferraretto, Assistant Professor and Ruminant Nutrition Extension Specialist at UW-Madison.
