Jacob Crawford, a forest ecologist with Audubon Upper Mississippi, will join The Maple Hour webinar to discuss the Bird-Friendly Maple Project in Wisconsin.
The session will explore what makes a sugarbush bird-friendly and how local maple syrup producers can participate in this conservation initiative.
The webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 7 to 8 p.m. and is part of The Maple Hour series, which provides Wisconsin maple enthusiasts with timely topics, expert guest speakers, and live Q&A opportunities.
Participants can attend the session online for free, though registration is required to secure a spot. The program is designed to appeal to a wide audience, including those interested in crops and soils, farm management, forestry and wildlife.
The Maple Hour archives past recordings for those unable to attend live sessions, which can be accessed at maple.extension.wisc.edu/maplehour.
This event is open to residents across multiple Wisconsin counties, including Adams, Ashland, Bayfield, Brown, Dane, Door, Eau Claire, Jefferson, Marathon, Milwaukee, Outagamie, Sauk, Waukesha, Winnebago, and many others.
