The University of Wisconsin Extension Offices of Buffalo, Chippewa and Monroe Counties will host Industrial Hemp for Grain and Fiber Field Days at three locations in western Wisconsin in the coming weeks. The programs will provide information on research projects and results conducted in western Wisconsin.
Research and project partners include Ho-Chunk Nation and Sustainable Agriculture Research Education. Some of the topics of the workshops will be Selection and Sourcing/Hemp Grain Production, Industrial Hemp Seeding Rates, and Market Development.
A demonstration on use for hempcrete will also be held.
The field days will take place at the following locations:
** August 11: 9:30 a.m. - Chippewa County Farm on Beach Drive, east of Seymour Cray Blvd., Chippewa Falls, WI
** August 19: State Hwy 35, 1.5 miles south of Alma, WI
** August 25: 16250 Helmet Rd., Tomah, WI
