Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) is offering a week of educational webinars on The Dairy Signal, featuring expert insights on key issues impacting dairy operations.
From March 25-27, dairy producers can engage with professionals on topics ranging from financial management to environmental research.
- On Tuesday, March 25, Elsa Condon and Brian Hoskens from Nicolet National Bank will discuss the banker's perspective on dairy operations. They will cover topics like property and equipment purchasing or leasing decisions and explain the rationale behind common banker inquiries.
- Wednesday, March 26, will explore the distinction between leadership and management with Don Tyler, founder of Tyler & Associates. He will lead an interactive discussion on the characteristics of each role and how they can complement each other in a dairy setting.
- Thursday, March 27, will focus on the latest research on nitrate leaching in Wisconsin. Lindsey Hartfiel and Kelsey Hyland from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension will present findings and discuss practical applications for producers.
Episodes of The Dairy Signal are accredited through Dairy AdvanCE (DACE), allowing participants to earn continuing education units (CEUs). Dairy AdvanCE is an online platform that simplifies the tracking and management of CEUs for dairy professionals.
The Dairy Signal provides weekly educational content for dairy farmers and food-system professionals. Live episodes air Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00-1:00 PM CT, offering live Q&A sessions with the speakers. Recorded sessions are available online shortly after.
