Brian Wang has recently taken on the role of Livestock Sector Advisor at the U.S. Grains Council’s (USGC) office in Beijing, China.
Tasked with strategic planning and industry engagement, Wang’s goal is to increase the U.S. market share for feed grains in China, a critical market for U.S. agricultural exports.
Manuel Sanchez, USGC director in China, praised Wang’s reputable background in the food industry, noting his readiness to enhance the council's initiatives.
Under Wang's guidance, USGC plans to focus on improving livestock yields in China by promoting the health benefits of U.S. feed products in animal diets.
Wang brings a wealth of experience to the position, with a diverse background spanning logistics, the potato sector, and extensive involvement in the popcorn industry. His 18 years in popcorn have honed his skills in sales, marketing, team building, and developing distributor networks across China.
Further bolstering his expertise, Wang is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration at the University of South Carolina. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of International Business and Economics and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology.
With this appointment, Wang is set to leverage his deep industry knowledge and educational background to drive the USGC’s efforts in expanding the U.S. presence in China’s livestock feed market.
