The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is now accepting nominations for three open seats on the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board. Nominations will be accepted through October 31, 2025, from eligible producers in Districts 1, 2, and 7.
Producers who both grow and sell corn within these districts may nominate themselves or fellow growers:
- District 1 includes counties such as Ashland, Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Marathon, Portage, and Wood, among others.
- District 2 covers Buffalo, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, St. Croix, and Trempealeau counties.
- District 7 represents Dodge, Green Lake, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha counties.
To participate, producers must submit a completed nomination form with signatures from five eligible corn growers other than the nominee.
Forms can be requested by contacting DATCP’s Market Orders staff at (608) 224-5046 or via DATCPMarketOrders@wisconsin.gov. Completed forms should be mailed to DATCP, Market Orders, P.O. Box 8911, Madison, WI 53708-8911.
The election process will begin on December 5, 2025, and conclude on January 12, 2026. Elected members will begin their three-year terms on February 1, 2026, representing corn growers statewide by supporting market development, research, and educational initiatives.
