Excellence in Guernsey cattle breeding was on full display at the International Guernsey Show during World Dairy Expo, with champions recognized across senior, intermediate, and junior divisions.
The spotlight fell on Kadence Farms Lovely, who topped the show as both Grand Champion and Senior Champion. As the winning Six-Year-Old & Older Cow, she also received the Allen Hetts Grand Champion Trophy. Lovely is proudly owned by Kadence Farms of New Glarus, Wisconsin.
Reserve Grand Champion honors went to Donnybrook Ammo Stevie, the Intermediate Champion and winning Senior Three-Year-Old Cow. She is owned by Brittany Taylor and Laylaa Schuler, also from New Glarus, Wisconsin.
Other top honors included Cape May Latimer Honey, who was named Reserve Senior Champion for Savannah Thomas of West Liberty, Ohio, and RHG Villa Breezy Venus-ET, the winning Senior Two-Year-Old owned by Alison Gartman of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, who earned the Reserve Intermediate Champion title.
In junior classes, Wil-San James Dean Tori-ET impressed as the Junior Champion and recipient of the Norman E. Magnussen Memorial Award. She was exhibited by Cindy Bates and Lorrie Dietz of Southington, Ohio. The Reserve Junior Champion was Prairie Moon Cadet Annie, owned by Mike Dilly of Dyersville, Iowa.
Special recognition went to Valley Gem Farms as Premier Breeder, Springhill of Big Prairie, Ohio as Premier Exhibitor, and Hi Guern View Levi Drone as Premier Sire.
The competition, judged by Mark Rueth of Oxford, Wisconsin, and Tina Vilter McDonald of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, featured 247 outstanding entries, reflecting dedication to Guernsey cattle breeding.
