51K members drive Farm Bureau success

By Blake Jackson

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau has always been a trusted voice for agriculture in the state, and its strength lies in the dedication of its members. Recently, the organization achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 51,000 members for the first time in three decades. This year alone, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau grew by 2,783 members, with all 61 county bureaus experiencing membership increases. This growth reflects the value of its mission and message across the agricultural community.

Achieving such a milestone is a collective effort. Members, volunteers, and supporters have been instrumental in making the Farm Bureau a cornerstone for agriculture advocacy in Wisconsin. Membership is more than just a number—it represents an investment in the future of agriculture. Every member contributes to a stronger voice for Wisconsin agriculture and benefits from opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The growth is fueled by the commitment of volunteers, county leaders, staff, and Rural Mutual Insurance agents who actively promote the benefits of joining the Farm Bureau. From advocating for agriculture policies to offering leadership opportunities, every new member strengthens the organization’s ability to represent the agricultural sector effectively.

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau empowers its community through grassroots efforts, ensuring the advancement and preservation of agriculture. With a growing membership base, the organization is positioned to expand its programs and advocacy efforts. These include leadership development, legislative advocacy, and a range of money-saving benefits for members. Every new member enhances the Bureau’s ability to shape policies that support rural communities and agriculture statewide.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the passion and dedication of members and volunteers like Trayton Greenfield of Fond du Lac County, whose outreach has driven membership growth. The Farm Bureau’s commitment remains rooted in building strong local connections and advocating for a prosperous agricultural future.

As the organization celebrates this milestone, it looks ahead to continuing its mission. New members are encouraged to engage in leadership roles, policy discussions, and community programs, ensuring the Wisconsin Farm Bureau remains the leading voice for agriculture in the state.
