Ag in the Classroom Holding Training for Educators

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau's Ag in the Classroom program is holding farm tours, hands-on activities, and industry expert presentations this summer for educators who are looking to incorporate agriculture into their curriculum.

It's called 'Agriculture Immersion Experience for Educators' and will be held August 2 from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center in Manitowoc.

Organizers say the day-long experience is designed to bridge science concepts with real-world agriculture applications in soil, water and waste management.

K-12 educators who teach science, such as biology, ecology, chemistry and Earth science are encouraged to participate. The program is free of charge and includes an Ag in the Classroom Connection kit.
