The UW–Madison Division of Extension Dairy and Livestock Program is offering several educational opportunities this winter for dairy, beef, and pork producers. These programs aim to support producers with valuable insights and resources to enhance their operations.
Starting in January, a new online webinar series for beef producers will be available, providing a convenient way to access critical information on beef production. In addition, a free online School for Beginning Beef Production will be offered to help new beef producers gain essential skills and knowledge.
On January 11, the Show Pig Symposium will be held in Wisconsin Dells, offering an excellent opportunity for pork producers to learn from experts and network with others in the industry.
The 2025 Driftless Region Beef Conference will take place on January 23-24, with a focus on market timing. This conference will help beef producers understand market trends and make informed decisions about timing their sales and purchases.
Finally, the Midwest Manure Summit will be hosted in Green Bay on February 26. This event will provide attendees with the latest information on manure management practices and innovations.
These programs provide great opportunities for producers to expand their knowledge and improve their operations.
