Wildlife and Wildlands - Conservation for Landowners

By Blake Jackson

A series of webinars is being offered to new and potential landowners in Wisconsin, connecting them with conservation experts to help achieve their property goals.

Each webinar features different speakers from organizations assisting landowners across the state. Participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions.

  • The first webinar, "Wildlife and Wildlands," on April 8, 2025, from 7-8 pm, will introduce landowners to programs that support grassland, prairie, and savanna management for pollinators and wildlife. Subject matter experts will provide guidance and resources.
  • The second webinar, "Working Lands and Water," on April 15, 2025, from 7-8 pm, will focus on conservation and economic opportunities for landowners with water, woods, and farmland.
  • Agriculture and natural resources professionals will discuss government programs, including NRCS programs, designed to help landowners achieve environmental and economic goals.
  • The final webinar, "People and Infrastructure," on April 22, 2025, from 7-8 pm, will address the social and constructed aspects of land ownership. Guest speakers will cover topics like easements, buildings, roads, and working with family and community to realize land visions.

The registration deadline is April 7, 2025. These webinars offer valuable insights and connections for new and prospective landowners in Wisconsin.
