Beef and Dairy Forage Seminar in Bloomer



The Chippewa Valley Forage Council will host its annual Spring Seminar on March 17 at The Back 40 Dining and Cocktails east of Bloomer from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration will begin at 11:15 a.m.

Speakers and topics include Bill Halfman, Extension Beef Outreach Specialist, “Beef utilization of alternative forages;” Katie Wantoch, Extension Farm Management Outreach Specialist, “Crop production;” Leonard Polzin, Extension Dairy Marketing Outreach Specialist, “2023 Dairy Outlook;” Chelsea Russell, Midwest Forage Association, “Alfalfa research update;” Jerry Clark, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire Extension Crops and Soils Educator, “Managing nitrogen with tight margins;” and Kelly Jones and Mike Ginter, Compeer Financial, “Farm Insurance Update.”

Cost to attend the seminar is $5.00. Lunch is sponsored by Compeer Financial. 2.0 CCA continuing education credits are available.
