Since its founding in 1984, Culver's has promoted the role farmers and the agricultural industry as a whole plays in providing wholesome food to feed the world. As a result, the Wisconsin-based restaurant chain recently furthered their commitment by endorsing the Decade of Ag movement.
The purpose of the initiative is to create a shared vision for a resilient, restorative, economically viable and climate-smart agricultural system that produces abundant and nutritious food, natural fiber and clean energy for a sustainable, vibrant and prosperous America.
"Culver's is proud to join the Decade of Ag movement at a time when leadership and collaboration in agriculture are needed most," said Julie Fussner, Culver's vice president of marketing. "We look forward to continuing to champion farmers and ranchers while taking the necessary steps to ensure we create a more sustainable world in the future."
U.S. Farmers and Ranchers in Action acts as the secretariat of Decade of Ag, representing farmer- and rancher-led organizations as well as other leaders throughout the food and agriculture sector.
As part of the movement, Culver's and other endorsing organizations agree on various principles, such as restoring the environment through agriculture that regenerates natural resources, revitalizing collective appreciation for agriculture, and investing in the next generation of agricultural systems.
