The Dairy Symposium at World Dairy Expo will feature the four Dairy Business Innovation (DBI) Initiatives from across the country. The DBI Initiatives are a program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that provides technical assistance and funding to dairy businesses to help them develop, produce, market, and distribute dairy products.
The Dairy Symposium will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. in The Tanbark at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The event is free to attend with paid admission to World Dairy Expo.
The four DBI Initiatives are:
- Pacific Coast Coalition Dairy Business Innovation Initiative (California)
- Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiative (Tennessee)
- Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (Vermont)
- Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (Wisconsin)
The presentations will highlight the work of the DBI Initiatives in supporting dairy businesses, including providing technical assistance, funding, and networking opportunities.
The Dairy Symposium will also feature a panel discussion on the topic of "Diversifying Dairy Products." The panelists will discuss the challenges and opportunities of developing new and innovative dairy products, and how the DBI Initiatives can help dairy businesses succeed in this area.
The Dairy Symposium will conclude with a question-and-answer session and time for networking.
