A leading farm advocacy group has endorsed a judicial candidate for the State Supreme Court, citing his strong legal expertise and commitment to agricultural issues. The political action committee, formed by a state farm organization, announced its support for a judge and former attorney general, recognizing his experience in upholding the law and addressing challenges faced by farmers.
“Judge Schimel has demonstrated exceptional knowledge of the judicial system and understanding of the unique challenges often facing Wisconsin agriculture and family farms,” said Door County Farm Bureau member and VFA Chair Austin Vandertie. “Wisconsin farmers recognize Schimel’s leadership and believe he is the best candidate to serve on the State Supreme Court.”
This endorsement follows previous support for the candidate in his campaigns for attorney general. His track record as a state prosecutor and judge demonstrates a fair and balanced approach to legal matters. His commitment to law and order, along with his ability to interpret and apply statutes, strengthens his qualifications for the Supreme Court position.
“Farmers need a fair judge who is committed to upholding the rule of law and applying Wisconsin’s agricultural statutes,” Vandertie added. “Judge Schimel understands that the judiciary’s role is to interpret and apply the law as written. We firmly believe he is the right candidate to uphold fairness, constitutional integrity, and objectivity on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.”
Established in 1988, the farm advocacy committee provides farmers with a voice in elections, ensuring that agricultural interests remain a priority. It is composed of farmers from across the state who work to support candidates aligned with the needs of the rural and farming communities.
