The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has announced that U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will deliver the keynote address at the Global Dairy Summit, a prominent event hosted by DATCP during World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin.

Scheduled for Friday, October 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the summit will bring together leading figures from the dairy industry worldwide.

In addition to Secretary Vilsack's opening remarks, attendees will hear presentations from renowned industry experts such as Krysta Harden, President and CEO of the U.S. Dairy Export Council, Mike McCully, President and Owner of McCully Consulting, Heather Anfang, President of Dairy Foods at Land O' Lakes, and Dave Lenzmeier, CEO of Milk Specialties Global.

The summit aims to provide valuable insights into the current state of the dairy economy, explore future industry trends, and identify potential marketing opportunities.

Dairy farmers, processors, businesses, and stakeholders from around the globe are invited to participate and contribute to the discussions.

Attendees will have the chance to submit questions to the speakers, which will be moderated by Corey Geiger, Dairy Lead Economist at CoBank.

The Global Dairy Summit will take place in The Tanbark on the Expo grounds at Alliant Energy Center. Admission is free with a paid World Dairy Expo ticket, but pre-registration is recommended.
