The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Dr. John Goeser, PhD with Rock River Lab and the Dairy Science Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will discuss silage quality and recommendations for the upcoming chopping season.
A panel of graduate research students and professors from the University of Idaho will be Wednesday's presenters. They will talk about the effects of heat stress on hepatic and mammary epithelial cells, as well as the impact of wildfire-smoke inhalation on dairy calf health.
And on Thursday, Dr. Joseph Sanford, PhD of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville will talk about how using biochar reduces hydrogen sulfide in the process.
All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
