The chief administrative officer of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is resigning to take a position as an agriculture education instructor. Kim Pokorny's last day as CAO will be August 10. Farm Bureau President Kevin Krentz will fulfill her duties on an interim basis.
"While I'm sad to be leaving such an outstanding staff team, I am excited for a new venture in my community involving agricultural education," Pokorny said. "I'm proud of the work the WFBF staff team and I have accomplished, and it was an absolute honor to work with them. I hope they continue to dream and move Wisconsin Farm Bureau forward to be the best organization we can be for our members."
Pokorny first began her duties as CAO in June 2020. Prior to that, she served as the executive director of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association since 2008, as well as leading the Food Armor Foundation. She also worked as the program manager for the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin.
In a statement, Krentz thanked Kim for her time and talents that she has given the Farm Bureau and wished her well in her future position.
