Wisconsin potato growers have re-elected two directors and added a new member to the industry's marketing board.
During a recent mail-in ballot election, Andrew Diercks of Coloma and Keith Wolter from Antigo were chosen to retain their seats on the board. John Fenske, Coloma, was the newcomer elected to a three-year term.
The three growers will serve three-year terms starting July 1.
The nine-member Wisconsin Potato Industry Board is responsible for overseeing the collection and use of about $1.7 million in assessment fees paid by Wisconsin potato growers.
The money is used to support the industry through research, market development and consumer education.
