Nominations have been accepted for three seats on the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board. Corn growers who reside, produce and sell corn in Districts 1, 2 and 7 are encouraged to vote through January 10.
Nominated in District 1 is Randall Woodruff of Chippewa Falls; Shane Goplin, Osseo, is running in District 2; and nominated in District 7 is Ken Rosenow of Oconomowoc.
One director from each of the districts will be elected to serve a three-year term beginning in February 2023. The board has nine members that represent about 20,000 growers in the state.
Eligible corn growers in those districts may request a ballot by calling 608-224-5116.
The Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board is responsible for the administration of the state's corn marketing order, which assesses each corn producer a half-cent per bushel on all corn grown in this state and sold into commercial channels.
