GROWMARK has announced the theme for its annual essay contest for junior high and high school members. Students are asked: 'What, in your opinion, has changed for the better in the agricultural industry as a result of the pandemic?'
The contest, which is now in its 29th year, is sponsored by the GROWMARK System and FS member cooperatives, in conjunction with state FFA leaders. It is designed to help young people improve their writing skills and learn about current issues of agriculture.
Essays should be approximately 500 words, typed and double-spaced. The entry deadline for Wisconsin FFA students is October 29.
The national winner earns a $1,000 scholarship, and their FFA Chapter will get a $750 award. Four runners-up also win $500 scholarships.
GROWMARK is a regional cooperative providing agriculture-related products and services and grain marketing in the Midwest.
