Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) brings back The Dairy Signal for 2025, offering a lineup focused on new technologies, cow health, and the current dairy market landscape.
The weekly educational series airs live Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:00 to 1:00 PM CT.
Here's a glimpse into the first week's topics:
- Tuesday, January 7th: Learn about virtual fencing and other advancements in managing and optimizing the performance of grazing dairy heifers. Presented by Stephanie Bowers, M.S., Regional Dairy Educator from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension.
- Wednesday, January 8th: Dr. Adrian Barragan, DVM, MS, PhD, Extension Veterinarian and Assistant Clinical Professor at Pennsylvania State University, will delve into the use of aspirin for dairy cow inflammation. The episode will explore the effects of aspirin use and when it can be beneficial.
- Thursday, January 9th: Get prepared for the year ahead! This session with Leonard Polzin, Dairy Markets and Policy Outreach Specialist at UW-Extension, will provide insights on what dairy producers should watch for in the dairy markets and offer strategies to navigate these volatile times.
