Build a strong dairy team with Dairy Managers Institute 2024

By Blake Jackson

The Dairy Managers Institute, offered by Professional Dairy Producers (PDP), is designed to help you build and manage a top-notch team.

This two-day workshop (December 10-11, 2024) at PDP Headquarters in Juneau, Wisconsin provides three in-depth tiers, each focusing on a different aspect of effective leadership. All sessions will be offered with simultaneous Spanish translation.

  • Tier One: Led by Dr. Becky Stewart-Gross, "Lead and Manage with Insight" dives into leadership fundamentals, self-awareness, and implementing change more effectively.
  • Tier Two: Michael Hoffman takes the helm in "Master the Art of Coaching," equipping participants with practical strategies for coaching team members, delivering impactful feedback, and fostering engagement.
  • Tier Three: Dr. Kevin Bernhardt and Linda Swindling co-present "Nail the Financials and Negotiations." This session tackles farm financials, negotiation styles, and building relationships for mutually beneficial outcomes.

“While leaders might prefer to work with the cows, an important part of their job is to work with people, too,” said Shelly Mayer, dairy producer and executive director of PDP. “Dairy Managers Institute will equip attendees with the tools to manage, engage and develop high-performing teams even if working with ‘people issues’ goes against their natural inclination.”

Register your team today! The fee covers materials and meals. Visit pdpw.org or call 800-947-7379 for details and lodging information. Each tier earns up to 14 Dairy AdvanCE continuing education credits.
