The upcoming Soybean Management Field Day, scheduled for September 4, will focus on crucial topics such as Waterhemp Management, Grain Marketing, and Dairy Cattle Feeding.

The event, hosted by McAllister Farms in Seymour, WI, will feature a field planted with Plenish soybeans, providing a practical backdrop for the discussions.

Key presentations will be delivered by experts from UW-Madison's Division of Extension and the Nutrient and Pest Management (NPM) programs.

Dr. Luiz Ferraretto, Dan Smith, Chris Clark, and Scott Reuss will lead sessions on the latest strategies in soybean management and dairy cattle feeding.

Additionally, John Heinberg from Total Farm Marketing by Stewart-Peterson will offer insights into the current grain market, discussing updates and opportunities relevant to farmers.

Alex Weldon, representing Pioneer/Corteva Agriscience, will also be on hand to delve into Plenish-specific agronomic management, offering attendees valuable tips on maximizing yield and quality in their soybean crops.

The field day is a free event, open to all without the need for prior registration. It is supported by USDA/NIFA Award Number 2021-70027-34694, which funds the development of Extension's Farm Pulse Grain Marketing Curriculum a resource that will be featured during the event.

For more information, contact Scott Reuss at scott.reuss@wisc.edu or call 715-732-7510. Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights into soybean and dairy management practices.
