The Dairy Innovation Hub is set to host its fifth annual Dairy Summit conference on November 20 at Varsity Hall, Union South.
This event showcases the Hub's latest projects and is designed for a broad audience. Attendees can look forward to insightful research presentations and a special session focusing on on-farm implementation, featuring farmers and service providers who have successfully utilized the Hub's research outcomes.
After lunch, participants can choose between two tour options: the Arlington Agricultural Research Station or the UW-Madison CALS campus research facilities.
Transportation will be conveniently provided by coach buses, with returns scheduled to Union South by 4:30 p.m.
For those unable to attend in person, a live virtual option will be available, and all sessions will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube for later viewing. Admission to the Dairy Summit is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
The agenda includes registration and breakfast starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by welcome comments from UW Madison Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin.
The schedule features farmer and end-user impact stories, research “lightning sessions,” and opportunities for networking during lunch.
Since its inception in 2019, the Dairy Innovation Hub has funded 21 faculty hires and over 230 research and outreach projects across three campuses.
Backed by a $7.8 million annual state investment, the Hub aims to strengthen Wisconsin’s $45.6 billion dairy industry by fostering innovations in economic, environmental, and social sustainability.
