Join the WWASH conference - explore soil health practices

By Blake Jackson

The 2024 WWASH Conference will take place on December 17-18 at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

This event brings together on-farm research and the implementation of soil health practices, offering a valuable opportunity for farmers, agronomists, and researchers to deepen their understanding of soil health, water quality, and agronomy.

Day 1 will kick off with a keynote by Dr. Lisa Schulte Moore, discussing regenerative agriculture, followed by interactive breakout sessions covering topics like cover crops, manure application, and conservation strategies.

A farmer keynote from Nick Guilette and a panel on on-farm nitrogen research will also be featured. Attendees can participate in additional breakout sessions on cover crop implementation and farmer-led peer learning, as well as roundtable discussions focused on practical conservation strategies.

Day 2 begins with breakfast, followed by a keynote from Dr. Shalamar Armstrong on the role of cover crops in sustainable agriculture. The day will include breakout sessions on topics such as diversified cropping systems, edge-of-field practices, and building consistency in dairy forage programs.

Attendees can also explore sessions on small grains agronomics, herbicide management in soil health systems, and land management practices.
