Tom Cull of Lomira, Wisconsin, has been recognized with the 82nd Klussendorf Award, the highest honor bestowed upon a dairy cattle showman in the United States.
The award, presented at the 57th World Dairy Expo, celebrates Cull's exceptional character, sportsmanship, ability, and dedication to the industry.
Named after Arthur B. Klussendorf, an esteemed showman, the award is bestowed by the Klussendorf Memorial Association. Cull received a silver trophy, designed by Tiffany Jewelers, for his outstanding contributions.
Cull's success mirrors that of legendary coaches like Vince Lombardi and John Wooden. Like these coaches, Cull excels in attention to detail, leadership, and creating a winning team.
He has mentored numerous individuals who have gone on to achieve success in the dairy show industry.
Budjon Farms, under Cull's leadership, has been a dominant force in the showring for two decades. The farm has produced numerous championship cattle, including four National Supreme Champions, four World Dairy Expo Grand Champions, and four Royal Winter Fair Grand Champions.
Cull's accomplishments extend beyond Budjon Farms. He has served on the Wisconsin Holstein Association Executive Show Committee and contributed to the World Dairy Expo's Five-Year Strategic Planning Committee.
The Klussendorf Award recognizes individuals who embody character, sportsmanship, and dedication to dairy cattle shows. Tom Cull's selection as the 82nd winner is a testament to his exceptional qualities and contributions to the industry.
