Approximately 7,428 acres of carefully maintained, high-quality farmland will be offered in a two-session auction August 23 and 24 in Wisconsin, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company marketing the land and conducting the event.
The auction will include land in six counties -- 86 percent of it FSA tillable acres. The land is located in Barron, Dunn, Polk, Chippewa, Marathon and Clark counties.
“These farms really show the benefits of good stewardship over the past 10 years, and the land has produced well for the owners. The percent of tillable land is really remarkable for this large of an offering in Wisconsin,” said R.D. Schrader, president of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company.
“The land is owned by a single organization, but farmers and investors will be allowed to bid on any combination of tracts offered in each session. Tracts range in size from 10 acres to 172 acres. The owners have widely implemented ESG practices, and farm improvement reports are available,” said Schrader. “Buyers will be able to farm the land in 2024,” Schrader added.
