PDP unveils 2024-25 training for dairy farmers

The Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) Association is offering a comprehensive educational program calendar for 2024-2025. The programs cover various topics relevant to the dairy industry, designed for farm owners, employees, and allied professionals.

The calendar includes workshops, conferences, and webinars focused on current industry issues, farm management practices, and leadership development. PDP prioritizes member input and offers programs in both English and Spanish.

Some highlights include:

  • Accelerate workshop for agricultural interns (July 24, 2024)
  • Financial Literacy for Dairy training (Nov. 13-14 & Dec. 4-5, 2024; Jan. 22-23, Feb. 5-6 & Feb. 26-27, 2025)
  • Stride Youth Leadership Conference (Sept. 21, 2024) for youth aged 15-18
  • Dairy Insights Summit (Dec. 3, 2024) for industry leaders
  • Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals (Jan. 14-16, 2025)
  • Dairy Wellbeing Workshop (Feb. 11-12, 2025) focusing on animal care
  • The Dairy Signal, a weekly webinar series on dairy management topics

Spanish-translated programs include:

  • Dairy Managers Institute (Dec. 10-11, 2024)
  • Herdsperson Workshop (Oct. 29-30, 2024)
  • Calf Care Connection (Oct. 15-16, 2024)
  • Cornerstone Dairy Academy (March 11, 2025) for leadership training
  • PDP Business Conference (March 12-13, 2025)

An international tour to Italy is also planned for April 5-17, 2025.

This program calendar offers a valuable opportunity for dairy professionals to stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in the industry.
