The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Jim Versweyveld, a farm management outreach specialist with the University of Wisconsin-Extension, will discuss training, equipment and resources you need to prevent farm workers from dehydration, frostbite, hypothermia and other cold-weather hazards.
George Twohig from Twohig, Rietbrock, Schneider & Halbach Law Office in Chilton will be Wednesday's guest. In this session, attendees will take a deep dive into business transition planning, including what a business transition plan should include, best practices, timelines and strategies for succession plans in passing the baton to the next generation.
And on Thursday, Jim Moriarty of Compeer Financial and Dave Coggins from Nicolet National Bank will share their perspectives on the processes, rules and parameters in lending decisions and how farmers can better prepare for discussions about loans and financial operations.
All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
