The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Alan LeBlanc from TrakRite Services will discuss the ins and outs of concrete resurfacing, including the process, when producers should begin thinking about taking action at their facilities and what to consider in decision making.
Dr. Rick Grant, who is the president of the William H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute, will be Wednesday's presenter. He will talk about how changes in a cow's schedule impact lameness and other health factors.
And on Thursday, Dr. Geof Smith, DVM of Zoetis will cover the five most deadly afflictions for calves, which includes crypto, rotavirus, coronavirus, E. coli and salmonella; and share the most effective methods to prevent them and the proper protocols in cases of an outbreak.
All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
