The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Dr. Chelsea Holschbach and Dr. Ryan Breuer with the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine will discuss ringworm and pinkeye and the myths and misconceptions often associated with these ailments.
Dave West, an agronomist with West Agronomics will join Justin Peterson from Creamery Creek Holsteins as Wednesday's guests. They will discuss changes that can be made based on fertilizer prices and supplies, evaluating soil tests to target phosphorous and potassium needs, and properly crediting manure and legumes to reduce commercial purchases.
And on Thursday, UW-Madison professor Dr. Joe Lauer will give a presentation on the effects of heat stress on young crops and management tips to get the best performance in early-growth stages.
