The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, Kevin Erb with the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Division of Extension will explain key management practices to avoid manure spills and what steps you should take if a spill does occur.
Dr. Dörte Döpfer, DVM, PhD, of the School of Veterinary Medicine at UW-Madison will be Wednesday's presenter. He will help visitors understand digital dermatitis, including what triggers it, how it appears on the farm and best management practices to manage it in individual cows and across your herd.
And on Thursday, UW-Madison Professor Dr. Denise Ney will dive into the value of dairy protein, glycomacropeptide (GMP), in curbing hunger and building bone density in this overview of research conducted through the Dairy Innovation Hub.
