Wisconsin's candidate running for a national FFA officer position this year has made it to the final round of competition. Ben Styer from the Menomonie FFA has been chosen as one of the top 20 students in the elimination process during the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. A total of 35 members submitted their names for consideration for the officer team prior to the conference.
A 2020 graduate of Menomonie High School, Styer served as one of the state FFA vice presidents in 2020-21 prior to being elected state president the following year.
Ben is currently attending the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities double majoring in Animal Science and Agriculture & Food Business Management. He plans to return to his family's dairy farm upon graduation.
Each state is allowed to send one national FFA officer candidate to the convention. The winning candidates will be announced during the final session of the convention on Saturday.
