Thirty-Eight Vying for 2023 Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair

The 2023 Wisconsin Fairest of the Fair will be crowned during the 57th Wisconsin Association of Fairs' annual convention in Wisconsin Dells next month. Program coordinators say 38 students are competing for the title, in which the winner will travel the state as the ambassador and spokesperson for all the fairs of Wisconsin. The competition is being held January 8-11 at the Chula Vista Resort.

The contestants will participate in several rigorous interviews and impromptu question and answer sessions throughout the three-day competition.

"Our goal as the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs Committee is to enhance each contestant and get them ready for their next step; whether that is becoming the next Wisconsin Fairest, their next job interview, public speaking event or becoming a fair board member," said Wisconsin Fair Association Director Jayme Buttke.
