Farmers and agricultural business owners seeking to make impactful changes or address challenges in their operations can now access a comprehensive online course, Navigating Your Ag Business: From Stress to Success.
Offered by the UW-Madison Division of Extension, this program provides practical strategies to tackle three key questions:
- Where are you now?
- Where do you want to be?
- How do you get there?
The course combines self-paced online learning with live virtual group sessions, creating a supportive peer environment while allowing participants to collaborate with experienced facilitators.
The program kicks off on January 1, 2025, with the first live Zoom session scheduled for January 28, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Central Time.
The self-paced component extends through April, supplemented by group discussions and personalized meetings with facilitators.
Participants will finish the course equipped with skills to:
- Identify and prioritize stressors affecting their farm or business
- Determine their financial standing
- Establish a vision and goals for their operation and family
- Develop a targeted action plan to resolve challenges and achieve objectives
Space for the January session is limited, and multiple members from the same farm are encouraged to join and participate in live discussions.
To ensure timely delivery of course materials, registration should be completed by December 13, 2024. However, applications will remain open until the session is fully booked.
