WI farm bureau - help for H-2A labor

By Blake Jackson

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau (WFBF) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Great Lakes Ag Labor Services (GLALS), expanding its member benefits program. This collaboration directly addresses the critical issue of workforce availability within the state's agricultural sector.

The H-2A Temporary Agricultural Employment of Foreign Workers program provides a valuable resource for farmers seeking skilled labor for seasonal positions. However, navigating the intricate H-2A application and onboarding process can be a significant hurdle.

"We recognize the challenges associated with securing a reliable workforce," stated WFBF President Brad Olson. "Our partnership with GLALS offers a comprehensive solution, leveraging their expertise to simplify the H-2A process for our members."

GLALS, a trusted partner for agricultural businesses in multiple states, boasts a proven track record of success. WFBF members will gain access to a robust suite of services, including:

  • Streamlined H-2A application filing procedures
  • Efficient worker recruitment strategies
  • Effective worker scheduling solutions
  • Virtual worker orientation and onboarding programs

H-2A guestworkers contribute significantly to Wisconsin's agricultural industry. Their diverse skillsets enable them to perform a wide range of essential tasks across various farm sizes and operations. From planting and harvesting to livestock care, these workers play a vital role in the agricultural cycle.

This strategic partnership between WFBF and GLALS empowers Wisconsin farmers to focus on core business activities. By ensuring access to a dependable workforce, WFBF fosters a sustainable and thriving agricultural environment within the state.
